The Rolex Explorer I in many ways where the Rolex sports collection evolved from. The Explorer 1 has been produced in some form since the early 1950’s for most of this time the watch was housed in a 36mm case. In 2010 Rolex decided to introduce this 39mm cased model bringing the watch more up to date to current watch trends.
